Youth Summer Theatre Workshop 2008

Registration is now open for the Apollo's 26th Youth Summer Theatre Workshop.

Dates: Parents meeting with the Director Friday, June 13. Each student must have a parent in attendance. 7:00 p.m. at the Apollo.

Performance dates are Thurs. July 24 through Sunday, July 27. This year's production is

Meet the New Director!

Dr. Wade FransenDirecting our production and leading our workshops this year is Dr. Wade Fransen, of Shenandoah University. An assistant professor of theatre in the Shenandoah Conservatory, Dr. Fransen brings a wealth of experience and a love of teaching to enhance our summer program.

Along with our producers and Music Director Lora Kearns, Dr. Fransen is developing a great program for our 2008 activity. Sing along!

“The air is humming...” and our student actors will be humming — and singing and dancing, with a terrific schedule of workshops that will teach stage skills, including how to prepare for auditions. Workshops begin on June 16.

New this year is a Technician Workshop, a special three-week session beginning in early July just for up-and-coming backstage experts.
